An architectural fly-through of the Smithsonian’s Renwick Gallery. We were asked to re-imagine the gallery as a futuristic multi-purpose venue that could magically morph from one environment to another. The walls of the gallery’s main room, the Grand Salon, are high resolution video projections that completely melt away and transform the room.
Working from photographs and demolition plans we reconstructed the building’s exterior and interior in 3D. We then designed the multiple environments the room would transform into.
